I/O Modules

The I/O modules are detected automatically by the central unit.

The iba modular system can be configured by means of the I/O Manager in the ibaPDA application or the I/O Configurator in the ibaLogic application.

The central unit requires a power supply of 24 V DC.

The power supply of I/O devices is provided internally by the backplane bus. A synchronization channel on the backplane guarantees isochronous sampling of all I/O modules.

The iba system offers various analysis options.

Depending on the objective, the data are analyzed individually – either directly during acquisition (online) or on the basis of the recorded values following an event.

By deriving Key Performance Indicators (KPI), the user gains valuable information about the acquired process.

This transforms raw process data into actionable knowledge that drives efficiency and performance.

Analyzing Measurement Data

Everything Can Be Set Into Relation to One Another

Analysis is generally interactive and signal-oriented. However, the iba system can also be used to automatically analyze the measurement data, e.g.

for quality documentation or to compare machines based on characteristic values (KPIs).

The calculation is performed once interactively and is then automatically updated based on analysis rules for each product or at defined intervals.

The results can be automatically documented in reports or loaded to databases – regardless of whether they are process-specific characteristic values or production details.
