Operating Instructions
Physical Rail Mounting: Snap the switch onto a standard 35 mm DIN rail (EN 50022). Verify the top latch locks securely.
Power & Grounding Wiring:
Connect dual redundant DC power sources (9.6–60 V DC) or 24 V AC into the removable 6-pin terminal block.
Attach a protective earth conductor to the grounding screw on the base plate to maintain EMC protection.
Network Connection:
Connect 50/125 $\mu$m or 62.5/125 $\mu$m Multi-Mode SC fiber optic patch cords to ports 1 and 2.
Connect standard Cat5e or Cat6 cables to copper RJ45 ports 3 through 8.
Initial Software Setup:
Use Hirschmann HiDiscovery or Industrial HiVision to assign an IP address over the network.
Access the embedded web interface or CLI (via SSH or the RJ11 serial console) to configure VLANs, RSTP/MRP ring redundancy, and security rules.
