Installation and Maintenance

Installation: Requires a free slot in the central or expansion rack of the SIMATIC S5/S7.

The module is configured via the ibaPDA I/O Manager. Ensure the fiber optic link is “closed-loop” for bidirectional diagnostics.

Cabling: Use 62.5/125µm or 50/125µm multimode fiber. Ensure the ST connectors are cleaned with isopropyl alcohol before insertion to prevent signal attenuation.
