LENZE 8400 TopLine frequency inverter
The intelligent i950 cabinet servo inverter can be easily integrated into
modular machine solutions on the basis of prepared technology applications
– parameterization instead of programming.
The same architecture, the same engineering and the use of the same
application software, based on decades of application experience, dissolve
the boundaries between centralized and decentralized motion control.
Our FAST Application Software Toolbox becomes universally usable.
If required, the pre-designed software modules can be very easily
customized and extended.
In addition, the i950 cabinet servo inverter serves as a power extension
of the i750 cabinet servo inverter in the Lenze automation system in the
range from 22 to 110 kW.
The requirements of the Ecodesign Directive, Standard EN IEC 61800-9-2.
are met.
The i700 cabinet servo inverter is suitable for dynamic motion control
and multi-axis applications. The interconnected system of single or
double axis devices, in combination with the appropriate supplier and
our controllers, is the right choice for automation applications.
Our controllers, such as the c520. can be used to conveniently solve
almost all control tasks for coordinated movement of multiple axes
with high dynamics. Thus, modern and modular machine controls can
be implemented based on our software modules.
The i950 cabinet servo inverter can be used as a power extension of
the i700 cabinet servo inverter in the range from 22 to 110 kW.

Highlights
• Integrated DC-bus connection
• Small overall width from 50 mm for the double axis
• Axis modules capable of multiple overloads for peak output currents
between 5 and 64 A, double axes up to 32 A
• Autotuning function for quick and easy controller adjustment
• “Safe Torque Off (STO)” safety function
The SMVector IP65 frequency inverter is ideal for decentralized wall mounting
due to its high protection class.
The requirements of the Ecodesign Directive, Standard EN IEC 61800-9-2.
are met.
The 8400 motec frequency inverter can be mounted locally on the motor or
on the wall. A repair switch can also be used on the wall. The decentralized
arrangement significantly shortens the length of the motor cables.
This enables even complex machines to be structured clearly.
The requirements of the Ecodesign Directive, Standard EN IEC 61800-9-2.
are met.
Simply expanding the modular system
• FAST machine module solutions are achieved these days with a controller
and the corresponding servo drives. This solution is now topped with
integration of the safety controller. Using the same network viaEtherCAT,
the system topography is the same.
• The safety controller can be parameterised via the PLC Designer engineering
tool, in parallel with the controller 3200 C and the servo inverter.
From drive-based safety to controller-based safety:
this new simplicity can be seen among other things in the noticeably reduced
amount of wiring. This is the result of directly interlinking the Lenze controllers
for safety and motion – in addition to ready-made software solutions from the
FAST Application Software Toolbox. Hence in practice, a FAST module can,
for instance, control the reduction in traversing speed while at the same time
the safety controller within the system can monitor the safe maximum speed.
