The 2500P-R4 provides four slots for industrial I/O in the 2500 Series® platform.

The rack provide space for a 3-slot wide power supply, a dual-wide CPU or Remote Base Controller (RBC), and slots for up to 4 I/O modules.

In addition it provides a bottom connector row for high-speed communications with CTI Advanced Function Modules.

The 2500 Series® bases provide four, eight, eleven,

or sixteen slots for I/O modules in the CTI 2500

Series®  or SIMATIC® 505 platform. The 2500-R11-A

allows two power supplies and two RBCs in a

redundant configuration.  All other bases provide

space for a single power supply, and a CPU or RBC,

and can be mounted from the front or rear.  New

2500P bases include the new CTI high-speed

communications channel for future installation of

Advanced Function Modules.
