Shinkawa FRP-226 (P-24-86A / P-24-86B) Circuit Board Module

The Shinkawa FRP-226 (Part Numbers: P-24-86A and P-24-86B) is a high-reliability industrial printed circuit board (PCB) module designed by Shinkawa Electric Co., Ltd. (Japan). It is engineered for critical signal processing, real-time monitoring, and system control within automated industrial machinery, turbomachinery protection systems, and high-speed Shinkawa semiconductor wire-bonding equipment.

Product Introduction / Overview

The FRP-226 Circuit Board Module serves as a core functional unit within Shinkawa’s specialized control and monitoring architecture. Designed to process continuous analog, digital, or sensor-level feedback, it ensures precision performance under demanding industrial operating environments.

The sub-part designations P-24-86A and P-24-86B represent specific hardware board revisions, circuit trace layouts, or component population variations within the FRP-226 product family. Both variants maintain functional continuity while accommodating specific system backplanes or revision-level requirements.

Product Features / Core Advantages

High-Precision Signal Processing: Engineered to minimize signal loss, noise, and latency in critical control loops.

Industrial-Grade Construction: Built with high-grade PCB substrates and components rated for continuous $24/7$ industrial operation.

Revision Flexibility: Available in P-24-86A and P-24-86B configurations to match precise system hardware versions and backplane configurations.

Modular Plug-and-Play Design: Standardized rack form factor enables rapid field replacement and minimizes machine downtime during maintenance.

High Noise Immunity: Shielded board traces and onboard filtering guard against electromagnetic interference (EMI) typical of heavy factory floors.

Model Classification

The FRP-226 module series is classified by board iteration and system compatibility:

FRP-226 (Base Model): System-level designation for the complete functional module assembly.

P-24-86A Revision: Standard production revision PCB designed for initial-generation rack backplanes and system setups.

P-24-86B Revision: Updated revision PCB featuring optimized component layouts, updated passive elements, or revised pin mappings for later system firmware/hardware releases.

Environmental Tolerance Conditions

To maintain long-term reliability and avoid early failure, the FRP-226 module must operate within these environmental parameters:

Operating Temperature Range: 0°C to +60°C (32°F to 140°F)

Storage Temperature Range: -20°C to +70°C (-4°F to 158°F)

Relative Humidity: 5% to 95% RH (Non-condensing)

Vibration Resistance: 10 Hz to 55 Hz, 0.15 mm amplitude (IEC 60068-2-6 standard)

Shock Resistance: 15g peak acceleration, 11 ms duration

Operating Environment: Free of corrosive gases, conductive dust, active organic solvents, and intense magnetic fields.

Installation Method

1.System Isolation:Safety Prerequisite。

Power down the target control rack, cabinet, or wire-bonder equipment. Disconnect main power supplies to prevent electrical arcs or damage during module installation.

2.ESD Protection Setup:Pre-Handling。

Attach a verified anti-static (ESD) wrist strap connected to an electrical earth ground before touching or unboxing the FRP-226 card.

3.Module Alignment & Insertion:Mechanical Mounting。

Align the edges of the P-24-86A / P-24-86B circuit board carefully with the internal card cage guide rails. Slide the board smoothly into the slot until the rear connector seats firmly into the backplane socket.

4.Secure Attachment:Hardware Fastening。

Tighten the front panel thumbscrews or retaining clips to secure the module into the chassis frame and ensure proper ground shielding contact.

Operating Instructions

Pre-Power Verification: Confirm that field wiring, sensor loops, and cable harnesses attached to the module or rack unit are fully secured and correctly pinned out.

Power-On Self Test (POST): Apply main system power. Observe front-panel status indicators on the rack chassis to verify normal initialization.

Operational Verification: Measure output signals or check system diagnostic screens to confirm that data transmission through the FRP-226 module is within operational parameters.

Maintenance Check: Periodically inspect connector contacts for dust accumulation or corrosion during scheduled machine maintenance.
