Independent of operating conditions

The X20 family with coated circuit boards is completely compatible with existing X20 models with respect to functionality.

Using a unique module ID, the application software can differentiate these devices from standard models.

With the introduction of this line, B&R has proven for the third time in rapid succession – after the general expansion of the operating temperature range to -25 to +60°C and certification for maritime applications from Germanischer Lloyd (GL) – that they are dedicated to increasing their customers’ return on investment by increasing the service life of the X20 system regardless of environmental conditions.

This allows the use of the entire X20 fieldbus interface product range.

The X20BC8084 POWERLINK bus controller and the X20HB8884 module are

equipped with an integrated link selector function. An additional 1 or 2 slots

are available, depending on the bus base used. The active X20HB2885 hub

expansion module can be operated in these slots.

The active hub expansion module is equipped with one integrated 2x hub and

allows redundant wiring. This means that the connection between the two ports

remains intact if there is a failure in the bus controller or Compact Link Selector.

The status of the module and network are indicated by LEDs.

POWERLINK bus controller X20BC8083. standalone hub X20HB8880 and the

POWERLINK TCP/IP gateway X20HB8815 are equipped with a modular hub

extension. 1 or 2 additional slots are available depending on the bus base.

The X20HB2880 hub expansion module can be operated in these slots.
