Product Description

Emerson Intelligent Firewall is a dedicated border-based firewall and intrusion detection system (IDS) specifically designed for DeltaV™ distributed control systems, providing an easy-to-install and easy-to-maintain boundary security solution. Emerson Intelligent Firewall is a hardware-based boundary protection solution designed to enhance strict control when external networks access DeltaV DCS.

Configuration

Configure the firewall through the built-in interface of the browser. Configuration access is only allowed from the security side of the firewall.

Ethernet port

2x copper wire, 1x DeltaV workstation (internal) port, 1x external LAN port. Supports automatic negotiation of 10/100MB network speed. Only applicable to IPv4.

USB port

1x USB 2.0. Located at the rear, it is only used for storing configurations to facilitate the replacement of firewalls. When the firewall is on, the configuration is extracted through the USB driver.

Serial port/console

1x RS232(Only for recovering administrator passwords and IP addresses, configuration data cannot be obtained from the serial port). Command-line configuration is not supported. The product does not include serial cables.

Alarm connection

Front panel – TTL output is normally high (+5VDC); If one or both of the two power cords are disconnected or a predefined error occurs internally, it will be in a lower state

Front panel LED indicator light

1 – Green power LED indicator light. 1 – Red power supply fault LED indicator light. 2 – Front panel LAN port, connection and working status LED indicator light

Rear side connection/power supply

Redundant power connection. The firewall comes with an American-style power cord. No rear connection is required during operation. The USB port (pre-configured at the factory) comes with a nano USB driver for storing configuration data to facilitate firewall replacement.
