HIMAOPC DA Server 892042400 Version 3.56.4

Overview/Set-up

The HIMA OPC server acts as a transmission interface between HIMA

PES H41q/H51q, the HIMA Planar4 system and other manufacturers sy

stems which have a corresponding OPC interface. The HIMA OPC server

is interfaced via Ethernet to the HIMA systems. It is able to handle two

Ethernet cards for the redundant connection to the HIMA PES H41q/

H51q.

You can obtain further information on this in the chapter Coupling of

HIMA OPC Server and HIMA PES

or Coupling of HIMA OPC Servers and HIMA PLANAR 4.

The OPC clients are usually coupled via Ethernet too.

Note:

If the client coupling is via Ethernet, the HIMA OPC server must have two

network cards, as the coupling to the HIMA systems and the coupling to

the OPC clients cannot be over the same network. Separate networks

have to be set up.

Systemrequirements

The HIMA OPC Server needs a computer system with the following mini

mum requirements:

• Pentium II 350 Mhz

• 128 MB RAM

• 10 MB free hard disk capacity

• Operating system Windows NT4 with service pack 4 or higher

• Ethernet card:

1 Ethernet card, if HIMA OPC server and client are running local

2 Ethernet cards, if HIMA OPC server runs in redundant mode or

3 Ethernet cards, if HIMA OPC server runs in redundant mode and

client is coupled via Ethernet
