Installation and Maintenance
Installation
Panel Cutout: Prepare a precise $117 \times 176$ mm opening.
Mounting: Slide the unit in and tighten the mounting brackets. The gasket must be compressed evenly to ensure the IP65 rating is maintained.
Power: Connect to a 24V DC source. Ensure the chassis is grounded to the cabinet’s earth bar to prevent electrical noise from flickering the VFD segments.
Maintenance
VFD Burn-in Prevention: Use the “Screen Saver” function in UniOP Designer to turn off the display during periods of inactivity, as VFD pixels have a finite brightness lifespan.
Battery: Contains a internal 3V Lithium battery (CR2430) for memory retention. Replace every 5–7 years to prevent data loss during power outages.
